Community Animal Care Event

• Southside & Burns Lake June 6 - 14, 2011

Valerie Ingram and Alistair Schroff, of Lakeside Animal Friendship Society, organized the first visit of the the Canadian Animal Assistance Team two communities in Northern BC. From June 6 to 14, teams of veterinarians, vet techs and assistants provided healthcare checks, vaccinations, de-worming and spay/neuter clinic for low income families in Southside and Burns Lake. Over 250 dogs and cats were spayed or neutered. The high attendance at these clinics underscores the serious need for animal care and control services in this region of BC.
